Education Day
As part of Breast Cancer Awareness month, The Corvallis Clinic Foundation will host a free event for women on Thursday, Oct. 9, at LaSells Stewart Center in Corvallis. Puttin’ on the Pink Education Day will feature speakers, workshops, lunch and informational displays.
Funding for Puttin’ on the Pink Education Day comes from The Corvallis Clinic Foundation and its partners, and from a generous grant from the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation WISH (Women Investing in Samaritan Health) Giving Circle.
The goal is to raise awareness of the risks of breast cancer. Puttin’ on the Pink Education Day will provide women with tools to identify breast cancer and live a healthy life, while raising community awareness.
The luncheon will feature Jean Bonifas talking about the healing power of laughter. Workshops with medical writer Dana Rowett, author of “Intimacy After Cancer,” will be offered, more information here, as well as the MammaCare breast self-examination classes.
