Sue Merrill Spirit of Survivorship Award

Thank you for all of the nominations for the Sue Merrill Spirit of Survivorship Award, sponsored by The Corvallis Clinic Foundation. The award is named in honor of Corvallis resident Susan Merrill, a nurse and breast cancer survivor, who founded Project H.E.R. (Help. Enlightenment. Resources.) to support breast cancer patients.

Any oncology patient, healthcare professional, or community individual is an eligible nominee if they have served Benton, Linn and Lincoln county cancer patients in some special way. The winner does not need to be a breast cancer survivor only that they have had a significant and sustaining contribution in cancer care and survivorship. Nominees for consideration should have contributed efforts that are altruistic in nature and not for financial gain.

Nominations are now closed. The award will be presented at the Puttin’ on the Pink Style Show on Oct. 16, 2010.
